TOUCH OF SPIRIT, from pianist Nadama, is the type of album that instantly reminds you of the style of music that you would expect to hear in a spa. In other words, it is a natural fit for the quiet, indulgent side of life, whether it be soaking in a lavender-scented hot tub or lounging in your favorite chair with a mug of chamomile tea. Nadama has a gift for creating melodies that capture the right levels of ethereal bliss, restful calm and classic instrumental beauty. Each song has a light, breezy pace that is well suited for lazy afternoons, as well as a number of instrumental accents for the piano that add emotional color, like strings, synthesizer atmosphere, flute and guitar. This is music that will warm the heart as it dissolves your stress. - Music Design In Review
Is there a more archetypal version of New Age music than piano with orchestral keyboard accompaniment? Nadama’s Touch of Spirit proves there is a lot of life left in this particular subgenre as he weaves a warm, soothing tapestry of instrumentals (piano, orchestral accompaniment, chorals, and shimmering bell tones) that will cushion the vagaries of everyday life, restoring balance to the battered soul. By the way, the keyboard embellishments are among the best I’ve heard. - Bill Binkelman, New Age Retailer |
